These terms cover this website and the free pilot. A separate written agreement covers any paid engagement.
Draft. This document has not yet been reviewed by a lawyer. It describes our intended practice honestly, but it is not a substitute for the reviewed version, which will replace it before any paid engagement.
What the service does
EntryWrite extracts data from shipment documents you provide, reconciles it across those documents, applies validation rules, and produces structured output mapped to an entry schema. It is a data preparation tool.
What it does not do
EntryWrite is not a customs broker and does not hold a customs broker licence. We do not file entries, we do not provide legal, customs or tariff classification advice, and we do not take responsibility for the accuracy of a declaration. The licensed broker submitting the entry remains responsible for reviewing the data and for the filing itself. The exception review step exists precisely because a human must remain in that loop.
The free pilot
The pilot covers processing of up to 20 shipments at no cost. There is no obligation on either side to continue afterwards. We may decline or end a pilot if the documents provided fall outside what the system can meaningfully handle, and we will say so plainly rather than return output we do not trust.
Your responsibilities
You confirm that you have the right to send us the documents you send, and that doing so does not breach an obligation you owe to your own customer. Do not send documents containing data you are not permitted to share with a processor.
Liability
During a free pilot the service is provided as is, without warranty. Our liability for the pilot is limited to the amount you have paid for it, which is nothing. Liability under a paid engagement is set out in that agreement. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Changes
We may update these terms. Material changes affecting an active pilot will be sent to you by email rather than only posted here.
